Canada Burning smell in the morning

After I get to work, I notice a burning smell by the rear wheels of my 96 XL.
I have premium winter tires and the brakes were done last month (new pads and rotors). What could be causing this smell?? Any help would be appreciated.

Karl

i would check your emergency brakes. Avalon has separate drum brakes for the emergency brakes. they are might be stuck.

Forgot to mention that I had all of those ebrake shoes replaced as well.

Can they get stuck right after a replacement?

Wouldn't it drag a bit on acceleration??
