Gen1 air bag and check engine light

hi i've been on this forum for a while already but have never posted anything really. i have a 1998 avalon and my airbag and check engine light is constantly on. its been on for quite sometimes already and i dont know why it wont turn off. i somewhat know why the check engine light is on but i dont know about the airbag light. i ran some codes back in the summer and i got a code p1150, saying something about O2 sensor. can anyone help me with my problems?

If airbag light is on there is a problem with the airbag system. The check engine light came on due to the P1150 code.

The sensor is bank 2, sensor 1. The first sensor on the exhaust system coming from the cylinder head closest to the radiator.

The airbag system trouble codes can be read out to narrow down the problem. Find someone who can do this.

For what it's worth, I had a check engine light, airbag (occasionally) and traction control off light. I had the 02 sensor replaced and a new battery put in (because the old battery was almost dead at a little over 5 years old)......once the 02 sensor was replaced, the traction off light, airbag and of course, check engine light, all went off and have stayed off.

something I learned with these cars is that if the engine rpm's are off due to any minor little thing, the RPM sensor will throw all kinds of codes for others systems that are dependent on accurate RPM sensor readings. Correcting things that mess with the RPM's tends to solve other little annoyances along the way.

This includes the RPM sensor on the AC unit getting a bad reading......it will shut down the freakin AC system. This has been a good car basically, but I've never owned a Toyota that had as many irritating, time consuming and costly little nag repairs like these.
