CEL 96 OBD1 Avalon

Hello, I have been asked to work on a friends 96 avalon, OBD1. I need to pull the codes but don't have an OBD1 scanner. I know you can check them by counting the CEL blink. Can someone tell me which pins to jump on the DLC using a fused jumper wire to do it? PLease and thank you

I know what an OBD2 DLC is but this is OBD1, if you remember correctly OBD2 came out in 96 1/2. Cars made in the beginning of the year were still OBD1. I have an OBD2 scanner and would have read the codes instead of posting this thread if that was the case

Didn't notice the second thread about this.

My Mother's 95 is OBDII. ALL 96 model year vehicles had to have OBDII by federal law, but it was already included in the 95's because it was a new model and they knew the requirement was coming.

There should be an emission decal under the hood telling you that your vehicle is OBDII compliant.
