Headlights and Alarm Stopped Working

Earlier today my '99 Avalon XLS stopped shutting off the headlights after opening the door, and while I've seen the previous thread which says it's a computer issue, is there any chance it's a wiring issue or loose sensor? My car only has 63k miles so I'm not sure why this is happening. Also my car no longer chirps when locking or unlocking the car via the remote, but the alarm still triggers when you hit the lock button multiple times and also flashes the lights, so I wanted to see if this is a related or different issue.

Could be a fuse/relay. I'm dealing with the alarm thing myself.

That's exactly what I've been thinking -- most likely with the alarm/theft system because the light near the drivers door & traction control button no longer blinks when the car is off. It just remains steady. The security light near the clock still blinks though.

Would you know by any chance if the headlight cutoff and theft systems are linked? I was planning on having a remote starter installed, but now I'm backing away from that idea because I'm concerned about the installation doing immediate harm, and/or what happens later on should the relay/fuse malfunction again.

I'm almost confident they are separate. I will take a look in a few days when I try to assess my situation.
