shift lever stuck overide no help

hello, i have a 98 avolon automatic. the shift lever is stuck in park. i used the overide button and still shifter will not move. button on shifter will not move all the way in any ideas ?

found the problem. i did some searching here found several good tips. i removed molding around shifter and found the over- ride button stuck. after a little wd40 and a little more pressure on over-ride button i got things moving.

Yeah, it should be worthy to note that most transmissions have a little panel, about the size of a dime that is removable, and with a screwdriver or pen can be used to override the brake depress for shifting.
