Trac /mpg question

OK
I got some good advice on my first post - Thank you
so I'm going to try again,

I got my 97 XLS with around 100k, have 120k+ on it now. So far I have serviced the exhaust flex pipe & frozen rear calipers. (calipers replaced 1 week ago with old torn boots on pins. new pins & boots ordered and will be installed as soon as received, calipers functioning properly now)

Four weeks ago I hit a large pot hole and my trac off light came on, I noticed no discernible handling difference. but my gas mileage suddenly dropped form 25 mpg to just under 20 could this be caused by the trac system?

For information these items also need to be fixed - leaking PS pump. rear valve cover gasket and cat converter (cat converter code came on right after the flex pipe was repaired over 2 months ago)

I consider myself able to preform most motor and chassis repair but not a diagnostic wiz and I appreciate any information as this car is quite new to me.

Keith

All trac light being on causing lower fuel mileage? Probably. Maybe you should check to see if your all trac was not damaged, since hitting the light to come on? Have you been driving it with it on on dry pavement? I don't know if the system is designed to be used on dry pavement. Good luck
