Gen1 V6?

Hey gang , it's been a while have a little situation here. I have a 95 Avalon XL, with 198K on it, my thing is it doesn't feel like a car with a v6 engine!! I know it is heavy and has a lot of miles, but I got it serviced at the dealer, and everything is good, it just feels so "DEAD". Is there anything I can do to give it some pep?? I only have a Cosmo racing Intake on it. Thanks

The Camry with V6 option is the same car, search these posts for possible improvements.

The first thing you want to do is a routine tune up. Seafoam the engine (maybe twice), chance the plugs, clean the throttle body WELL, and do an oil change. The you can start looking into more power. The 1MZ-FE engine has an available supercharger you can run across occasionally. Check out the gen3/4 camry forums and SEARCH for more info! Your avy has the same engine as the 94-96 V6 Camry.

Yeah, do some tune up stuff if it hasn't been done in a while; air filter, plugs, throttle body cleaning, stuff like that. But before you go nuts with add-ons or start throwing money at it, you might want to have a leak-down test done. With that many miles on it, it could be just as simple as the engine being tired; leaky rings and/or valves.

Gen1

Well Like I said, I had a service done at the dealers, and they were saying that it was in very good condition fro such an old car with that many miles on it. I wanted to try the seafoam before, but I was a lil scared to do it............lol
