My engine light is on. It says O2 sensor... (Bank 1, Sensor 1). I am leaving for an 8 hour drive on Friday morning and want to get it/install it by then. I need to know if my car is california or not though. Anyone know where the Bank 1 Sensor 1 is located. I will prob. Get the part from auto zone.

Sticker in engine bay will say CAL or FED. The Toyota should be able to tell with VIN. Buy a factory part.

This is great advice. Many, many reports of aftermarket A/F sensors not working, especially Bosch. You can get a Denso A/F sensor (this will be an exact match with Denso factory) for a CA car from Amazon for less than $150 (much less if you don't have a CA car).

The only label indicating that my vehicle is a CA is a label in the engine bay that states... Conforms to all federal laws and cannot be sold in CA as a primary vehicle.
