Props to my 1999 Avey (150,000 miles) for making it across country from NJ to LA. 3000 miles and didnt miss a beat. Ran like a champ hot/cold weather. Car stayed in LA with my son and I flew back. gonna miss ya...

Gen1 Sweet!
thats very reassuring news! I just bought my avalon for 3900 w/ 140,000 miles to drive it from Kansas to Los Angeles to Orlando and up to New Jersey myself. Engine and transmission feel solid. Dropping 500 into new front struts to get it aligned for the epic voyage. Please keep your fingers crossed that she makes it!

Go for it!
Made a similar trip a few years ago from NC to Minnesota to Montana and back. Car ran great, only had to stop for a flat tire, and even then I wasn't aware it was flat until a car behind me kept flashing his lights! Love the Avy!
