Let me know how it goes, I'm a couple of months behind you. Good luck

From a durability standpoint, the Tokico's, are higher rated, (they will last longer) however they are a little stiffer than the KYB's. As it is, the KYB's will firm the Avalon's ride up a little bit. Because I'm used to, and prefer a firmer ride, I bought the Tokico's and Vogtland lowering springs. If you decide to get replacement springs make sure they are from a reputable supplier. Some of the cheaper springs (like Intrax) will sag. The better ones are heat treated, shot peened and tempered properly. The Vogtlands are made in Germany. Eibach's are also supposed to be good.
Per the Vogtlandsuspension website.
"Vogtland Lowering Sport Suspension Springs are made in Hagen-Hohenlimburg, Germany and TUV tested with original equipment manufacture ( OEM ) quality and carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Springs are produced using special oil tempered spring alloys, using the cold coiling process machinery developed by Wafios Machinery Corporation. This achieves low spring weight with high material strength and the desired effect of uniformly reducing the un-spring weight of the vehicle by optimizing the handling performance characteristics. Suspension springs are tempered, shoot peened and preset to ensure a consistent supension function and ride height. Low grade value brand springs will loose length with dynamic inpact, but not Vogtland. Vogtland Sport Lowering Springs and suspension are engineered for each make | model using stock Shocks."
