Toyota Avalon 1995 engine trouble

Last Monday the battery in my moms Avalon went out so we replaced it and it worked fine. My mom went on a trip the last three days so no one drove the car, today when she started the vehicle it was having problems so I raced home and started looking it over. Basically all I know so far is it starts up fine but after 2 seconds it will shut its self off. If anyone has any suggestions for me to look into I need any help I can get.

That isn't any issue I've ever encountered or heard of. I'll have to ask around and get back to you if I find anything.

Thanks, also about the car I've seen stuff about the iac valve in other forums but the difference between their problems and mine is that when I crank the avalon even if I hold the gas it idles down till it dies.

I got it figured out. It was the mass air flow sensor that got disconnected. Thanks for the help!
