trunk leaking water?

anybody every had problems with trunk getting into their trunk... this problem first started after i shaved my badges not knowing the toyota emblem has 3 holes behind it, i since have thought to fix this problem several times but apparently not.. i put the emblem back on with some permatex on it to ensure there would be no more leaking, and failed... i have since put house door seal/window stripping on my trunk lid to hit the cars weatherstripping which makes for a hard slam when trying to shut the trunk now... i have had friends sit in the trunk and sprayed everywhere with a pressure washer and nothing but yet anytime it rains it leaks... any solutions or helpful tips?

my 96 would leak a lil on the drivers side near the hinge because someitmes the split loom rubbed against the stripping for too long i jus used a few cotton balls and a few strips of duct tape to fill the gag, and wire tied split room to bottom side of the hinge
