Need Help Disassembly RR Door '95 Avy XL

I need some pointers opening up my passenger side rear door--I have no idea how it happened but I hear sloshing when I open/close the door(!) so there must be water in the bottom of the door--I don't EVER remember leaving a window down and having rain get in but I must have--either that or there's a jug of water someone left in the door (!) lol

I want to disassemble this door so I can get a vacuum in there ASAP to suck the water out--should I use a spatula or? Are there any screws I need to remove? And after I get the water out I guess carefully using a hair dryer etc will be about all I can do with it?--this sucks-this car was in such nice shape when I bought it......

==

on second thought, is it possible to attach a small tube to a shop vac and insert it down thru the top of the door (with the window rolled down of course) and suck the water out that way--without having to tear the door apart? (Every time I've seen a door taken apart the plastic retainers break/deform etc and the door panel rarely if ever is just like before after the tear down......

Thanks a bunch for any/all pointers/help/suggestions!

Doors have drains. If water is sloshing around in the door it sounds like the drains are clogged. If you don't clear the clog, the door will rust.

After looking at the audio thread robocam13 recommended I noticed the bit about the door drains--found the two plugs, pulled them and drained the water out (about a quart?).

Thanks anyway IMDisaster--I wish I had seen your post this morning but it's OK--I'm thrilled I don't have to disassemble the door!

Thanks again robcam13 and IMDisaster and of course ToyotaNation
