haha, good job!!

you wouldn't believe how good of a deal i got on these. 150 bucks for 5 wheels and tires. i think i might need some spacers in the front to get it to be flush.

Wow, that thing is sitting really low. Must be set up real stiff to keep the tires from rubbing the fender wells. I've got mine on Vogtland lowering spring (1.8") and Tokico shocks. The handling improvement is night and day. With 215/17/50's I get the occasional touch on a hard hit...like if I go too fast over a speed bump. Probably should roll the rear fenders for a bit more room.

You should tint the glass...would look sharp with that black car. I've got 45% in the front and 30% in the rear.

P.S. Before I put in the new springs and struts she bottomed constantly and scored up one of the rear tires a little. The stock rear springs had sagged and the shocks were worthless...almost no compression damping.

haha, thanks. i love it when people compliment me on how low my avy is.
i think the last time i checked the car was about 3in's off the floor on the lowest spot. And yes the car is set to be really stiff!!!! heres a video of me going through gmr with so homies from tn and solara guy.

i actually took the tint off because it was fading and was starting to turn blue. but now that i see the car with no tint i seem to like it alot more with out tint. imo

next mod is going to be a secret!!! haha

Must have been a die tint. I've got a ceramic tint...won't fade. Metal won't fade either but will interfere with radio transmission....radar...cell phone...radio.

Running nice now but damn Michigan salty winters have got after the doors. Need to clean up a few spots and make sure the door seals are clear. Also got a HID projector kit for it, but tearing into the headlights is a big project and I will have to be in the right mood to start that.

This HID kit looks something like this one...with halos.

http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...-retrofit.html

here is the exact kit.

http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/light...y-diy-pnp.html

Since this is a bi-low (high/low) kit, I'd mount them in place of the high beams (inside lights.) There isn't enough room to fit them inside the housing in the low beam location anyway. Because HID's can't be used as low voltage running lights (like the highs are used for now) the daytime running lights will be moved to the position lights. The car would run with the orange position lights and the halos during the day, and both headlights at night, similar to how it runs with the high beams on now. When flipping to high beam a shutter moves in the HID projector housing...sending the light further down the road.

This is the kit to move the DRL's from the high beams to the turn signals.

Yeah, you have to "sweat" apart the lens to install them. There are lots of instruction videos on Youtube as to how to open a lens. This one is for guys who build HID projector lenses by using projectors from other cars. The kit I have is supposed to be easier because it installs through the existing bulb attachment, instead of having to cut and seal the back of the lens, as well as cut and modify another car's HID projector to fit. It is important to seal it well after putting it back together or else you can get water and fogging in the lens.

I'd like to find a set of lights from a junk yard, so that I can switch back easier, if need be.
