Gen1 power seat

i put my seat all the way back when i was waiting for someone, in the midst of putting it back up... it seems as if it ran out of power... it will go back down but not up... wat are my options?

the switch might have burned out. how good are you with electronics? you might have to "jump" the motor and get it going...

Had the same problem with my avalon's passenger seat. If the motor still spins one direction, then it is a faulty switch. If you unplug the leads going to the motor (and make sure you have the motor leads) Run a 12volt battery into the leads. the motor/seat will spin/move. reverse polarity, and the motor will spin the opposite way. Move the seat to an all-round position and leave it.

Or find a new switch.

Find the connector that goes to the motor, should be 2 wires, with not voltage pressent at the pins, and instead a low resistance. Now just stick wires into the motor wire socket and attach to a 12V battery. one polarity goes one way, and reversing the polarity the seat will also reverse.
