2 concerns

Does anyone know what could be causing a "popping" sound by my passenger side tire a few times a day. Is the symptom of a bad ball joint? I checked the boot and it wasn't ripped....

Also, I just switched from conventional oil to Quaker State horsepower synthetic (because it was on sale). My car didn't leak oil before, should I run into any problems from the switch...what is the consensus out there?

Thanks,
Karl

oil switching is a myth. you wont have any issues as long as you use the recommended grade. your noise is probably your upper strut mount or possibly inner or outer tie rod going bad. have someone turn the wheel and hopefully you can hear where the noise is coming from.or jack the front of the car up and check for excessive play in the tie rods and turn the wheel but im guessing its a strut plate. if you need more help let me know
