Gen1 96 Expansion valve removal

Hi Everyone

well I got the lower dash apart and the glove box out. Was doing great until I see the damn
blower motor bracket/pin which seems to be the
only thing holding the evaporator door cover on.

Can anyone offer a suggestion as to getting the cover off WITHOUT removing the blower man that is a lot of wires and extra serious stuff I dont want to mess with.

It seems as if the cover will come free if I pry the bracket/pin out of the hole it sits in.

come on toyota techs please help me.
PLEASE

Gen1 day number 3 Evaporator still NOT out

Hi People

well I am taking a stress break. I been doing things here n there on cars all my life. I LOVE my Avalon. I just never realized that the car was designed to be a disposable. OR you have a BANK LOAD of money to be able to take it to
a Toyota garage.

I have removed the upper black plastic hose. Still can't get to the last 10mm
that is down lower in behind the top blower assembly. I re read things and I will start again in the morning an remove the CPU housing. I am just amazed
at all the things they tuck up under the dash.

I could really use some friendly advice and encouragement because I almost came to the point after spending 500.00 of my own money on parts that maybe this ac repair is NOT worth what it is doing to me ..stress or physical I mean ouch them ribs are BRUISED...

I had to do the same thing to my avalon right after i got it, and i have the same car as you. The blower motor has to come off, and the BRAIN needs to be unbolted and then you can just swing it out of the way, or just unplug and remove it. Once everything is out of the way, and the cover is off, just undo the lines running to it, and slide the whole assemble out.
