Timing belt kits

My avalon has 193,000 km on it (117k miles). At about 200 or so i will be due for a timing belt change.

I plan to change the water pump and tensioners at the same time (and maybe the oil seals while i am in there).

My question is this. On Ebay you see full kits for around 300 bucks that have all tensioners, gaskets, a water pump and timing belt. Anyone used these kits before ?

I am trying to decide if I should get that kit or just purchase it from Dallas Toyota online (they save me about 35% off of toyota pricing in Ontario).

I just took the car for a 800km cruise all highway at 120 km/h (73mph) and got 7.8L/100km (36mpg imperial) AWESOME !

I purchased a complete kit (11 pieces) from air cabin man on ebay motors 246.18 and free shipping. Checked with dealer, same exact parts. Had my mechanic install for 300. dealer wanted 1200 for same parts and labor. You can purchase anything from t-belt to complete kit. Prompt shipping and recieved as advertised.

Dont be fooled by the " if it doesn't come in a Toyota box its no good"
Most aftermarket parts are as good, if not better then original parts and will last as long if not longer then dealer supplied parts at a fraction of the cost.

Besides the Timing belt, and two Idler Bearings, Water Pump and Water pump gasket what are the six other items.....? I assume oil seals, but what else. Also Air Cabin Man I couldn't find on Ebay currently...do you have an e-mail address? Thanks for any and all help.

Tom

Tried using the search feature on TN by typing "timing belt kits" and surprise....air cabin man was one of the first offerings...somehow when I went to e-bay direct and did a search he was not listed????? Thanks for the data in the previous post, air cabin man has many variations on the kit and all of his parts seem top quality. Thanks

Tom
