97 Avalon XLS - Very Small Oil leak/drip

I have a very small oil leak/drip that's dripping on the manifold/exhaust pipe. I can smell it when I stop for a minute and then I parked the car and saw where the oil was hitting the manifold/exhaust pipe which was causing it to smoke and cause the burning smell. The valve cover gasket is not leaking and there is no signs of oil dripping from the top of the engine.

Could this be from the oil valve gasket? I heard there is a seal that might be where this is leaking from. Money is tight these days, could I possible get some putty/cement from the auto store and reach up there to fix this temporarily?

If not the issue, any suggestions?

is it leaking on the manifold or the y-pipe? manifold would be the valve cover. lower could be oil pan. pics would help diagnose this problem.

It's on the Y-pipe. I think you are right. It's the oil pan. I will take pics and post them.

these cars are nasty because when you change the oil filter it gets all over the front of the engine.

if you did an oil change recently i would wait and see if it stops by itself.
