new cv axle and wheel hop ? ?

it seems these new axles take a while to break in. my mazda 626 took quite a while to stop a low-speed wobble on takeoff, but it finally did.

this avalon, however, does not seem to be getting any better. i get wheel hop between 50 and 60 (of COURSE!) !~@#$%^&*(!!

anything i can do? trading axles would likely just start the cycle over, from the beginning... ???

lol,it seems like u are watching me.............I took my avalon to the shop to get the noise problem checked out, cause I thought it was the sway bar bushings, turns out they were replaced, and the CV axles needed replacing. Did that on Saturday, now I need to do the Shocks....need to get my $$ together for those KYB/ Tokicos and some springs...LOL

myself, i don't think the modifications of which you speak will turn out to be favorable. i just bought "safety struts" (also called "quick struts") - they are bolt-in units with all new parts. they work fine. they still cost over $700, even with me doing the labor! but all of the parts are new, now - didn't put the strut mounts and swivels back on - that stuff had over 150,000 miles on it, and now it lives at the dump.

the ride was engineered. WHY do people think they can just put some kind of random stuff in, and get an improvement? stiffer shocks might well cause the thing to ride like a truck!

We aren't looking for improvement over the stock ride, we just want to be different. Anyone that lowers a car already knows the ride is going to be stiffer than stock, regardless of how low we go.
