A/C Smells like Gas is coming through - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Every time my wife drives her car, the Avalon, she tells me that whenever she turns the air recirc button she smells gasoline and says the car is running rich. Any recommendations on what to check or do?

it would seem that someone has crossed the fuel lines with the air conditioning hoses...

does it have a loooooongg green flame, coming from the exhaust?

i have the same issue.i havent had time to look into it but i think it may be a leaky fuel injector.

Has anyone solved this problem?? My wife mentioned this to me ('98 Avalon). It seems to be worse on warm days. Coming right through the A/C

Help!
