Darkish liquid in COOLANT RESERVOIR

I noticed a leak underneath my engine the other day, it wasn't quite oil...kinda watery and pinkish. Then I looked at my coolant reservoir and it wasn't greek but darker and pinkish . The car isn't overheating, still accelerates normally etc. I checked the oil dipstick and the oil was light in colour, not very dark at all...about 2000 kms since last oil change but I just switched to a synthetic oil (maybe it stays lighter in colour than conventional oils)

What am I in for? Is it a bad headgasket? Cracked block? Sigh...everything else on the car is fine...

Thanks,
Karl

i believe the factory put reddish coolant into these cars...

I am unable to understand this: "Then I looked at my coolant reservoir and it wasn't greek but darker and pinkish." GREEK?

head gaskets seldom go bad without an event - overheating, of some sort. has your car overheated recently?

if there is oil in the reservoir it will be floating on top of the coolant, not mixed into it.

I meant green, oops..not greek.

You are right about the factory coolant being darker...I was used to green aftermarket stuff in my other cars so the colour threw me for a loop.

Car isn't overheating...temperature gauge is always at half way.

Perhaps it's nothing at all...hopefully!

Like Digital Mag said, Toyota uses a red coolant. So my guess is that it's a coolant leak. Does it smell kinda sweet, like antifreeze does? If it is coolant, could be the waterpump, hoses, radiator, etc. Go underneath and check it out; see if you can figure out where it's dripping from.
