UK AC refill point on a 96 Avalon

Hi guys, I have just joined this forum. Great stuff

My first of two questions (I will open a new thread on the other) is where can I find the low pressure refill point for the AC system on my 96 Avalon? I have found the high pressure point (well it had a H on it) but I cant see the one I want.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Richard

Ok I found it. It was actually at the back of the engine compartment on the passanger side but it was difficult to get to. However I filled up the system and the ac is not actually working. Mind you it didnt take the whole can which I was supprised at.

Was it empty?
Did you vacuum it?
Was the A/C running when you filled it?
Did you use a real gauge set?

If you weren't able to find the port by merely following the lines, I'm getting the sense you were working outside the extent of your knowledge.

Oh, did the refrigerant have "sealer" in it?

Ted, check out this thread. You are almost as grumpy as I am!

Charging A/C in a 98

If you don't know how to find the low side service port, you have no business messing with the AC system, period, end of discussion.
