96 avalon vs 97 good deal

i'm looking to buy an avalon

there is a 96 avalon on craigslist for 3300 is this a good deal
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...879199730.html

or i can get a 97 avalon with only 111000 miles and same features for 4000

is there a big difference between the 96 avalons and the 97 avalons?

Well, depends on the maintainence history on both. Was the timing belt and water pump changed on them? If it was on the 97, I would buy it instead of the 96 because the difference in price it about how much it costs to have the timing belt and water pump changed.

I would get the 96, it looks like it in good condition.
