Gen1 a/c issues still going on.

OK to rehash an old topic here.

a/c had random issue of not coming on and the light blinking. press the button a few times it will come on.

When it works it works good. very cold.

OK new issues:

idleing at a redlight for a good bit will cause it to kick off. wait for the light to turn green and once going it press button it will work again.

sometimes on short trips 5-10miles it will work till u cut car off and come back it sometimes wont come on.

I have a low side gauge and its reading 45psi at about 87F degrees which is right according to what i have read. so Im starting to think its either one of the preasure switchs or someone mentioned theres a clutch lock up sensor.

Im annoyed at this because i want to install a remote start system but there no point unless i know the a/c will come on!

locate the low-pressure cutoff switch. short it out with a jumper wire. see if the problem disappears. if so, change the switch.

if not, repeat for the high-pressure switch.

if not (gulp) you're probably looking at an expansion valve
