HID conversion kit

I have a 1996 avalon and I have been through 2 hid kits for it and both of them didnt work. I don't have daytime running lights and I dont have auto on light, but I do have the feature where if I leave my lights on, they turn off when I open the door and turn back on whenever I start the car if I leave the switch in the on position. I was wondering could this affect the kit or is it something else I dont know about. Has anyone had the same problem and if so how can I get them to work.

The headlight plug, has reverse polarity. Try inserting the plug that goes into the ballast the opposite way. I had this same problem doing this, fixed it for me.
