98 Avalon xl stereo issues

Hi, first time poster.
I have seen a couple of threads listed here regarding the radio installation and set up for this year and model, but I am having issues installing my sony CDX-GT51W due to mislabled or incorrect wiring diagrams for the car. My XL has cassett deck without cd and I have a rear mounted stock sub, but I do NOT have a stock amp and no rca cables coming out of the dash when disassembled. The 15 pin connector is only using 13 pins. Looking at the back of the connector, I have top left, red, green and blue. Top right, white, black, green and red. Bottom left, yellow and white. Bottom center, black, brown and brown. Bottom right, White with Green stripe.

I have not been able to locate this particular pinout in previous posts or on other sites and I am in need of help.

From what I have seen, the following is the diagram that I have from other websites:
+ White/grey dots
+Black/grey dots
Ground - Brown
Illumination - Green
Antenna - Black/Red
L Fr + , Pink ............ No Pink in the wires I have
L Fr - , Purple ........ No Purple wire in my set up
R Fr +, Light Green ...... No Light Green in my set up
R Fr -, Blue ............ All my blues have dots
L R +, Black ............ I have a black
L R -, Yellow ............. I have Yellow
R R +, Red ............. I have two Red
R R -, White ......... I have two White
But nothing for the rear monted sub

The wiring diagram that I found for the Sony is correct and I can locate all but a spare set of positive and negative wires for the rear mounted sub.

If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it. I will even take a phone call if you think you can help.

Thanks,

Sincerely,

Chris

I believe that the sub woofer is tied to the rear door speakers. Best way to test (if you're positive you do not have an amplifier) is to take what is identified as the door speakers and momentarily connect a 9 volt battery to the wires. the speakers should go "pop". And you would clearly hear if the addition of the subwoofer if it is sharing any of those wires.

Also, if you had the factory amp you would not have RCA plugs coming out from behind the dash, you would have a fancy rca harness that you would plug into the existing harness.

<car>----<OEM stereo plug>< after market stereo plug>------<rca patch cords>
