Change wheel & tire size

I'm considering moving four Toyota factory wheels from my '03 Avalon to my daughter's '99 Avalon. The tires mounted are 205/60-16. They would be replacing factory/stock size 205/65-15.

Both sizes were available in the '03; only the 15" was available in '99.

Has anyone done such a swap on a gen 1 without problems? The calculated speedometer readings are different by only .75%, so that's not a concern. Clearance is my concern, though I can't think of how it could be a problem.

Any informed insight will be appreciated!

I would think the lower sidewall profile on the 16's would offset the inch difference in the wheel size. Why don't you put two on the front and turn the wheels side to side to ensure clearance. Give it a try and let us know how it works.
