replace brake light switch procedure

My Chilton book shows where the brake light switch is for my '95 Avalon XLS w/bench seat & column shifter but I need the best/easiest procedure to physically get to the switch. Please help? I can see it but there is not enough room to maneuver while on my back looking up. There must be a better way.

Sorry... my book is a Haynes, not a Chilton... I would be happy just to have a link for a good manual or a link to a post that describes what to do. I have so far been unable to find anything using the forum search.

I am still searching... "stop lamp switch" gives some different hits than "brake light switch"

Remove the front seat. Four nuts/bolts. Five minutes.
Remove the filler panel (underside of dash).
