Nope. I use the same thing you do, and I just turn the music up louder.

my mechanic said the same thing (150 bucks),so i bought a mp3 player, and use the cassette, and for a while ,the buzzing start.the radio static kills me.thinking get a new car, then with this "electronic contact cleaner",every thing works fine now.if you have static in your radio, just pull the knob out and spray inside, static will be gone.

Asides from replacing the radio, the car and using the electrical contact cleaner.... I would suggest purchasing an FM transmitter. You plug it into the headphone jack of your ipod and it will transmit an FM signal to your radio that you can pick up.
These FM transmitters are very inexpensive and are great as they are mobile.
You can find some very expensive ones, and some very cheap ones for a few dollars.

I'm only using a cassette adapter because I got mine for free. I was thinking about buying an FM transmitter to replace it, because I'd like to get some good sound quality. Which one do you use? Price?

Free is always good.
Mine is some no name one that I picked up from a clearance store here. It cost me a whopping $5.00.
The signal range is pretty short, but I can still have the signal recieved by my stereo if my iphone is in the back seat. The only down side is that every now and then someone may be on the same frequency as you and you might pick up some of their music or what ever they are listening to if they are also using an FM transmitter. LOL. However with these transmitters they normally come with 2 or so preset transmitting frequencies.

$5 sounds pretty good
I have heard mixed reviews on many different ones, so that is why I'm hesitant on getting one. I'm thinking I might go ahead and buy one soon. My cassette adapter is only playing from the right side speakers now.
