I was cleaning my throttle today and while the car was running I unplugged the MAF sensor plug.

The car immediately died, I plugged it back in and it started fine...turned it off...cleaned the throttle...now I have a check engine light.

The car runs fine....how can I reset the check engine light and will pulling the MAF while the car is idling cause any serious damage?

Did you dissconect your battery and let it sit for a bit?

You could also get a code reader and clear your code.

If you need a MAF, I have 2 extra ones sitting around in my garage.

The engine light turned off automatically after a few days of driving...if the MAF becomes damaged, I'll hit ya up for one!
