UK 96 RHD Steering Rack

I have been told that my steering rack busgings (should that be bushings) on my 96 RHD Avalon need replacing. Can anyone give any advice on this and somewhere I can source the parts.

Thanks

I just found them on rockauto's website. I wouldn't think the bushings would be different for a RHD vs a LHD.

pmesfun, I'll be honest with you. Those appear to be the bushings I found, but I just don't recall anything like that when I replaced my R&P last year. I thought the R&P was held in by two clamps with bolts on either side and it had a rubber bushing under the clamp.

Maybe it would make more sense if you could jack up the car and take a good look. I'm away on training right now and it's 25 out right now so I'm not in a real hurry to check out my vehicle. Sorry I can't help further.

By the way, how do you know yours need replacing?

I'll take a look tomorrow, Thanks.

I really don't know if it needs to be replaced, just wanted to know what it looked like, so I can locate on my car and check the condition of it. I found out as to why the was so much play in the steering wheel. The reason is because I can turn the steering both way about 3 degrees, but I noticed that the part that the steering wheel connects to, will not move as much. I'm am thinking the steering wheel is loose and needs to be re torqued.
