1997 Stock Rim and Tire Size

I have a 1997 Toyota Avalon that needs new tires. My brother's car got totaled and I'd like to use his tires since they are basically new and in good condition.

The stock tire size is 205/65R15 and the ones I have are size 205/70R15. I put one on and it looks pretty close. I'm not sure if it would interfere with steering and whatnot while in motion. Does anyone know if these tires would fit without a problem? I called the local Toyota dealership and they just straight up said, "I don't know." Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

can't imagine it wouldn't work, usually a vehicle can go + or - 1 tire size without a problem. It will mess up your spedometer slightly, just so you're aware of it.

The new tire is 10.25mm taller than oem.
Shouldn't be any problem.
The change it makes to your odomoeter/speedomoeter will be slight since the radius of the tire is only increasing by 1/2cm.
Our Avy speedo's (heck, all Toyota speedo's) read faster than ur going anyway!
