Just Wondering...

So...over the winter break I did some major maintenance. Replaced water pump, timing belt, idler and tensioner pulleys, tensioner, cam and crank seals, valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals, spark plugs, ngk wires, clean intake plenum, manifold, tb, iacv valve, injectors, clean egr valve and pipe, rebuit power steering pump, replaced various hoses, etc.
Cars runs great, nothing went wrong, its just I didn't notice that much of a power increase, or regain. MPG is a little better, fuel injector cleaner is still in the tank.
Is there supposed to be some power regain or improvement, along with better MPG, or is this a placebo effect?
Thanks

You had it right with maintenance, all the things you listed are pretty much just general maintenance and wont really improve power. but it's good you've done all these things cause now you dont have to worry about them going bad!
