airbag code 31

My 95 avalon's airbag light is constantly on. I tried clearing it but no go. Shorting TC ad E gave me a code 31. Anyone know what that is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Chuck

Looks like your airbag sensor assy. That's the airbag ecu in the center of your dash.
Unless a bad connection, looks like you'll need a new one.
Sorry, it's under the center console compartment. (towards the rear) Has there been any beverage spills possibly?

I took a quick look at it. No spills. Everything looked intact. Anyone know how the cabling is routed for the airbag sensor system? Are there impact sensors located in the front end someplace? I may end up taking the car to the dealer service dept.

problem fixed

Bought a used airbag ECU off ebay. It came out of a 96 Avalon. Installed it in my 95. Airbag light gone.
