1997 Key Fob programming

Just got a 97 Avalon recently. The po had not used the keyless entry fobs in years ever since the batteries died in the remotes. I put new batteries and nothing happened so i decided to try and reprogram them. I followed the instructions on programyourremote.com or at least i tried to. the problem i ran into is where it tells you to jump wires 2 and 10. my number 10 slot is empty?? there is no wrire coming into it, so i don't understand what it would possibly do to jump those two. is my unit missing a wire or does the 2 and 10 designation not correspond to the numbers stamped on the plug? any help would be great here!

so i ended up just trying to jump a bunch of different wires and it entered the program mode but i think that the fob might be done for as pushing buttons on the fob while in program mode didn't do anything. I guess my next course of action is to buy another fob and try to get it programmed to the car.
