So after reading that cluster lighting thread that was brought back to life, It made me realize that there were 5 other people within 50 miles who also drive an avalon like mine.
Now I commute all the way from Island Lake/Wauconda (less than 30 minutes from Wisconsin, no joke!) down to Skokie and Des Plaines, and I have past quite the few number of avalons along the way. And I've always asked the same thing: I wonder if that was Chunkywolf/Mmejia/Kyle_Mains/greeksoccerboy in that sexy avalon? Finding me is easy, just look for the dork riden avalon sporting 5 antennas off the trunk and the strobe light..
The idea has been joked about a northern illinois avalon club, But I wouldnt be ooposed to such a zanny idea. But what would transpire? Perhaps a photo-shoot, pizza, bars ( I don't drink!) who knows! All I know is there would be a lot of BS'ing about avalons taking place

I am a Chicago land Avalon owner out of Naperville. I used to have a "night riders" decal across the rear window of my avy, but i grew up lol. I always thought I saw greeksoccerboy's Avalon when I drive down N. Clybourn ave in the city. that would be kinda awesome/hilarious to have a meetup.
win!!! it can't be THAT hard finding me.. i'm probably the lowest avalon in the midwest with tom's rims and a greddy evo exhaust.. I live in oak lawn, im usually around those general suburbs (orland park, palos hills, hickory hills, bridgeview, burbank, southside chicago) but i drive around EVERYWHERE. i got to school in romeoville so you'll see me down 55 often, lets make a little list of everyone's numbers and pm it to eachother (not on the thread obviously) so we can all meet up and check our cars out! it's a lil cold for a meet and greet so to speak, but isn't sunday supposed to warm up?
edit: let's try and expand this to gen2's and gen3's and even camry/solaras?

My brother just moved in with me and he's driving a white '96. If you see anyone tooling down the highway with the bumper held on by duct tape, the headliner drooping and a missing passenger mirror, that's him.
haha if he needs parts lmk, i got a parts 95 since ur local it'll save a lot on shipping and since i know these cars pretty damn well it won't be too hard to swap stuff over..

More than anything else he needs a bumper, but that may be beyond my skills. I've done almost all of the maintenance on my 97 Corolla, but I'll need to take a look at what's involved taking off and putting on a new bumper.

idea - meet in chinatown at the dim sum restaurant on a sunday. great chow AND cars?
Is there an echo? hehe
Two things,
1) someone said the exact thing prior (maybe you mis-quoted them) and they live in NY. The purpose of this thread, and most of the posters live in or around Chicago.
2) Your location is listed as "usa" which leaves me confused
Moving on...
the weather is starting to get pretty nice, I'm almost done with school and almost have a lot of open-ended projects in my car nearing completion! (oh was that last one a lie though my teeth!)

National-Strike.org (NOT my web site, but i'm promoting it 'cause, FOR ONCE, this site offers something we really can do about it... and i think it will work!)
I am reviving this because I am doing some work on my car lately and it has brought me back to the forums. We have to get together at some point with this awesome weather.
