Steering Wheel "Groan/Squeak"

When I turn the wheel at slow speed, usually in a 3 point turn, the steering wheel/steering system makes a slight groan or squeaking sound. I have added power steering fluid (Dextron) so that isn't it. The steering is fine but just annoying. Ideas?

Hmm, I guess your groan and squeak is different than mine that grunts and creaks!

Steering normal refers to no play, and power steering resistance is consistent?

Hell I get a creak/clunk noise out of my front right wheel for reasons unknown. And I have a new strut mount, strut, coil, cv shaft, control arm, sway bushings, Toyota tie-rod ends...! But that probably didn't help you

All that and still making clunking noises? Did you replace the sway bar links?
Makes me wonder if replacing control arm bushings is worth it.
On a side note, I was in the passenger seat while my dad was driving and I don't hear any of the clunking crapola that I hear while driving. weird.

Could be the ps belt. A little bit of groan, barely audible is normal, when stopped though.

Isn't there a joint where the steering connects to the rack and pinion that sometimes needs lubing? I sorta remember reading a few posts about that.

i have fixed some groan noises by lubing the steering shaft where it goes through the fire wall. but this noise is normally sounding like its in the steering wheel.
