Tire size question.

Is it possible to fit 215/60-15 on the stock wheel?

The 215's will fit just fine. Overall height will be less than 1/2" different. Width should be just fine as you are only changing by one size.

Should be a non issue all the way around.

Yeah, I wanted a little bit wider tires. The stock size looks way to thin on my car.
Would rubbing against the struts be an issue?

Hell yeah I have 215s on my Avalon, there is rubbing, but its nothing serious. You'll only get it if the wheels are fully turned and you hit a bump or are out of alignment.

I wouldn't mind rubbing...do you have pictures of the 215's? Also, do tire places install larger sizes than the factory size?
Thanks

Yeah man, I've had 215s on the car as long as I've owned it. So any pictures on here of my car has the wider tires. I've never had a problem with asking discount tire to install 215s over the factory note of 205s.

This is the best picture I have without having to go back outside and take a picture of teh wheels. But maybe later I will, depends if I have to go anywhere. I'll even take a picture of the rubbing if possible!

Thanks alot, man.

Looks good, my rear tires scream no handling. They're are soo slim.

The front ones are ok.

I will definitely remember to get 215s if I'm going to keep the stock wheels.

Hmmm...so 215/60-15's rub? They aren't much wider than the stock tires.

I have the factory 15 X 7 alloys and was actually thinking of going with 225/60's on my next tire change. The diameter of 225/60's is only 0.1" larger than the stock 205/65's; section width isn't really that much bigger either at about 0.8".

Not sure what the offset of these wheels is, but if tire width is a sensitive issue with these cars I'd better take a closer look.

I need to check how much space there is between the inner fender and tire with the stock size.
