Its looks pretty straight forward. I need to replace the front passenger door weatherstripping, lets in some noise at highway speeds.

these cars had wind noise from day 1...

don't think putting brand new factory seals on it will remove the noise. this is one of the problems i've yet to solve, completely, but i made some progress and the noise is now much less.

i used some 3/8" weatherstripping made for house doors. it's made from fibers and you glue or staple it onto a door frame to eliminate drafts. i doubled it over and inserted it into the fold in the weatherstrip along the top of the doors. did not fix it but, like i said, made it a lot better.

there's a post in here somewhere - a guy glued round tubing insulation (rubber foam type) into the valleys of the front doors and he said it worked. maybe you can find it if you look for it...

Is it common for only the passenger side to make noise? I don't have this problem on the driver side.

Wow, really?!! My Camry's never had any problems with the door gaskets sealing. Now my F150, on the other hand... that thing sounds like it's got toy whistles hiding all over!

i've had 2 of these... and both sides hissed in each of them. can't really say what's common as my knowledge is limited to the 2 cars i have had...

maybe the door hinges have some play in their mounts? could be that what's needed is to move the top of the doors in? not too much of that would make the sheet metal look tweaked...

could be that the tops of the doors can be bent in? haven't tried that yet - would require a lot of strength and would be easy to overdo...

if youze guys solve this lemme know, ok?

Gave a go with the two front window seals first and it made a significant difference in wind noise. Also put a lot less strain on the window motors. I'm thinking my issue just may be that they're toooooo old...most of noise now coming from rear windows so I'm going to replace those next month sometime.
They were 100 bucks a window (50 bucks a pop) so not a cheap fix at all but I think worth it because i do a lot of highway driving in this car and the noise was driving me crazy.
I also noticed that the door seals themselves were worn and cracked so i'll probably replace those some time in the future but i doubt those will effect wind noise all that much.

Toyota redesigned those seals mid run and a TSB was released to fix the earlier seals as customers brought them in.
