I just realize my avalon has a camry solara engine cause vin number is different from door, windshield from engine, I would like to know via vin number about the engine maintenance and records via car fax , somebody knows how can I get a free carfax?i need to know the records free cause Im studing and working right now with a family and children and ITs been difficult, not the intention to cry jeje but I would apreciate the help, cause till now I was thinking my avalon has 139 000 miles but iTs obvious that the solara 99 has different miles and maintenaince records like time chain and oil changes , etc as you know I love toyotas, reliable, nice, quiet, resale value, fast, etc my ENGINE(SOLARA) VIN NUMBER IS 2T1CF22P5 XC129336 just in case someone has a free carfax.. maybe its just a nice try butmaybe works thnx in ADVANCE excuse my enlish

When people mention "free carfax" it tpyically means carfax CHECK, which will just tell you how many major 'incidents' are on the vehicles report. If you want more information, youd have to pay the 30 dollars or whatever it is.

But if you purchased it from a dealership, most of the time they have already purchased the carfax on a used car, ask them if you can see it. the who "show me the carfax" sha-bang.

If I do recall correctly, there is a "toyota owners" site on www.toyota.com, which shows service history on a certain VIN number, but only reflects service done at dealerships
