For the headlight, I would recommend getting 9012 HIR2s for the low beams. They have 75% the brightness of HIDs. I should be getting mine tomorrow or Wednesday. I will post pictures how good they really are then.

Performance, I don't think there is much. TRD Supercharger, but that is like 2-3k. Probably others know.

Oh me!

Just do an avalon body swap on a turbo supra chasis

I think there is one guy who did an H4/HID retrofit, but it kind of looks funny on the avalon with its big ol' headlights. Id imagine you can do it nicely, but i'd be a lot of work. I've been entertaining this idea in the back of my head for a long time, but not HIDs, but LEDs!

I dont know much on performance either past that supercharger and a bolt on intake. I've seen a Turbo 1MZ-FE though. And have seen a few Avalon's around chicago with dual exhaust.

To be honest, the first performance "upgrade" you'll probably wind up doing is replacing the suspension!

the turbo would be a complete waste. the car can't put the power it has on the ground. it just spins 1 tire...

lol.. i thiink i'm one of the most "powerful" avalon owners that actually post up. for one, believe it or not, these have potential. the 1mz is a pretty strong engine and when i was s/ced i actually hooked pretty damn well if it were dry out. to put it in comparison, when i was s/ced i went at it with a manual audi a6 2.7t (twin turbo awd like the s4 of the same yr) we both launched, i was at his front door 0-30 and by the time i was doing about 55/60 he was at my trunk. for other performance mods you can get a set of jpp/obx headers for a 99-03 solara or 97-01 camry and even the catbacks work if u extend the o2 or switch the bung to the other side. we even have cams you can get upgraded to that are also oem, the 2mz intake cams (which i currently have in my 2mz lol) and from what i hear even the 3mz exhaust cams. now if your 1mz is weak we can upgrade to the 3mz block and have a 3.3 liter w/ plenty of more torque. realistically, traction is only going to be a bigger problem if your manual. an auto won't lose that much traction.. if you need ne info just shoot me a pm.
