new rear springs, oh what a feeling!

moog, $75 bucks delivered (thanks amazon). a great investment, the handling improved all around and it rides like a new car.
i did all 4 struts last fall, my ride improved, particularly cornering, but i was still disappointed.
i found it hard to believe that the springs were bad, so i didn't replace them when i did the struts. i work with springs all the time, a properly designed coil spring should last for 10 million cycles, forever if the load is static. they must be under designed or overloaded.

Thought I would need new rear springs too, but I got lucky.

Front springs seem tired though, maybe its the sway bar links. Replacing those with Deeza's in a couple of weeks.

Did the rear height increase? Mine did significantly, higher than the front. I like it though, kind of a raked stance.

I was iffy on the life of the springs too.. upon releasing one of the front strut towers, the coil spring split in-half. My ride hight, after the new Moog springs I put in increased a good 2", maybe even 3" Never really took a ruler to it. I cant say much for the rear, because I have a good 100-200lbs constantly in the trunk.

I didn't intend on replacing mine either, but I got them for 99/pair after sweettalking the guy at NAPA, haha.

my bad, no I didn't replace them. Just the struts and mounts. I thought they would be bad, because the struts were blown for over a year. They were overloaded and destroyed in October.

Ride height after new struts:

Jack, I too need to replace my springs and refresh by suspension. What struts did you end up using when you replaced the springs?

i used the monroe sensatrac's. they ride nice, not at all mushy.
FYI, if you can wait until october, monroe has a "shocktober" rebate, buy 3, get 1 free.
i missed it by 1 day, then came across it accidentally. oh, what a feeling indeed
