Power Window Relay 1999 Toyota Avalon

Does anyone knowthe location of the power window relay for a 1999 Toyota Avalon? The windows will go down evey time but trying to get them up is difficult. They work sporaticaly it appears to be worse in wet or humid connditions. I suspect it's a relay but I cannot locate it.

Not sure about a relay either, but I went through the same problem...twice. It was the power window motor/regulator both times.

Having basically taken the entire car apart to fix my window issues, I would recommend checking the main power window switch (driver), as it control's all of the windows, and they won't work without it. Also, check and make sure the window regulator cables are clear and free from debris. You may wish to look into greasing the regulator too. One of mine had a bind in the cable causing it to buzz and move slowly.

Power Window Relay 1999 Toyota Avalon

Thanks for all the responses. The reason I was leaning towards a relay is when this started it happened to the passenger window first where it did not want to go up. It would go up in short little bursts and still to this day this always occurs. On the drivers door this has also happened but appears to occur on rainy days or humid days. Because of this I thought it was a relay, but as I have learned there is no relay. I am not an electronics expert so from your experience would you lean towards the master control or should I concentrate on the motor(s) themselves. I thinking more the master control but from a cost and time savings if anyone has a thought it's greatly appreciated.

remove the controller panel - it just prys up. short the switches in a manner that activates the windows. if the windows move without issue, it's the switches. if not, it may be the motors or the transmissions. if its the transmission, noise should accompany
