'98 Grille and headlights in a '96?

My '96 has over 325k miles.

The grille is missing a few bars.

The headlights are faded.

The corner marker lights are faded or cracked.

I bought a (one) used '98 headlight.... cause I liked the later headlights were more clear..... like you could see the bulb.... where my factory '96 was not like that. The headlight fit... but was missing one of the ears the grille mounted to.

I like the look of the '98 and '99 Avalons.

Seeing as I need both headlights and a grille..... and really corner marker lights.....

Can I just buy a '98 grille and headlights and put them on my '96 car fairly easy?

I think you can do both.

Front end would be easier. two bolts on the front brace, remove corner lamp screw, pop that out. Then I more bolt holding the headlight. 3 screws holding the grill in and everything comes out.

Back end, just swap trunk lids and lights. I would think you would to re-route the inner tail/stop light and reverse light wires into the trunk lid b/c they are part of it on the 1.5 gen.

You beat me to it.....

I've always liked the look of the '98 and '99 better. I have only recently noticed the biggest difference was the decklid....... upon closer inspection...... it doesn't look like it would be that big of a deal.......
