98 Avalon can not start after oil change

I just did my timing belt and water pump, everything worked out great. I decided to change the oil and rotate the tires this weekend, as I have done many times before. After finishing everything, I got in the car, started it, the engine cranked for just a second or so, and stopped. I turned the key off, and tried again, this time, no cranking at all, only a few of the lights came on at the bottom of the instrument panel.

I turned the key off again, and tried again, this time, absolutely nothing. The engine does not crank, no light of any kind on the dash, no radio, no doom light.

Anyone has any ideas? I have changed the oil many time, this has never happened. Is it electronic related? Anti thieft? Can find anything in the owner's manual.

I hope it's not something major.

Did you not disconnect the battery when doing the TB? Did you securely reconnect?

Batteries die. If it won't even play your radio, it's dead or disconnected. Very simple. Avoid the fallacy of post hoc, ergo propter hoc. You could as easily have written that you sat in the driver's seat, and then it wouldn't start.

Sounds like a dead battery. Check terminals first.

it is just the battery cable

Sorry to waste everyone's time, thought it was related to something I did when changing the oil for some reason.
