Cam position sensor

How many ohms should I see (99 avy, 3.0L V6). Thanks.

Mine is leaking oil and it looks like the gasket isn't sold separately. It is special - an O ring with an internal flat section to keep it centered on the sensor to ease installation. Think I'll just buy a nitrile O ring and position it on the head with a dab of grease. 20 cents for a new o ring is better than $100 for a new sensor. Maybe I will fortify the old O ring with some RTV and give that a whirl. Any other ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks! I'm in the mid-range at 1.14 kohms on my Denso. Now to stop the oil leak. I just remembered that the cam position sensor started leaking oil when the car was about 6 months old and Toyota repaired under warranty. You can see how this is a chronic problem with oil sitting right on an O ring which deforms and gets brittle with heat/age.

I would get a new o-ring. Don't use RTV, that just makes a mess. The o-ring should seal with no problems like it was designed to do.
