99 Avalon Security System disabling

Hi to all,
My Security system is still alarming for no apparent reason. I have tried to remove the fuse for it ID'd in the owners manual but no luck. What's the easiest way to disable the system so it won't go off and I can still lock the doors? A big thank you!

there is wires that go to the drivers door lock that usually go bad. but for a quick fix (this is what i did) unhook your dome light switch from the drives door jamb. my alarm and door locks quit having a mind of its own and i can still use my remote to lock/unlock my car.

I haven't dealt with this KIND of wiring myself, but based on this:
the 12 volt

It appears there is a line that you can ground permanently to disable the alarm. I'm not sure if there's some sort of fault prevention circuit, but it's worth a shot.

Smile Avlon Security System Disabling

Thanks Robcam13. That fix appears to have worked. While I would like to have the theft system working, spurious honkings in the middle of the night are not that cool to the neighbors. They thank you too!

Canada 99 alarm issues

Maybe the cold Canadian winter has given my brain one too many freeze-thaw cycles but the explanation for the fix was not very clear to me. What wires are you disconecting from the door jamb switch? Does it knock out your interior lights when you open the door? I am currently on a brain thaw cycle so I might get it this time around.

Door Closed switch

I cut the wire that goes to the door closed switch. I used the back passemger side door switch cuz the light won't come on anymore with the wire cut. PS. the door ajar light on the dash doesn't come on with this fix.

Car alarm has a mind of its own

OK, snipping the door closed switch wire worked for a while. Seems my system has a brain and figured that out. Now it sets itself when I lock all the doors either with the remote or manually. If I leave one door unlocked, it will lock it automatically after about 30 sec. If I leave the trunk open, it won't set with the doors locked. I've tried this with the trunk lid resting closed but not locked, but it's too sensitive and the alarm will go off.
