Try rotating the tires. I thought my front struts were bad bc they were making thumping noises, but when I rotated the tires, the noise went to the back=defective tires.
wow you have covered almost everything... all can say is maybe a broken belt or egg shaped tire ( a road force balance would tell.) see if a rotation changes it. cupped tires would also cause this. check the inside edge of your tires. otherwise i am not sure.
the avalon - i'm not sure about the alignment. as i changed the lower a-arms i noticed there are two bolts, beneath which shims might be placed. before now i considered the alignment, save the toe, to be fixed.
changed the right cv axle (what a PITA) that got rid of most of it. found a tire that had a road force of 30 but looked perfect. changed that for the spare - they ordered another one as they are out of my size. had it aligned (toe set) again. i think i may have it, now

what say you, cap'n?
methinks ye can get a kit to adjust the camber if need be, but lets hope you got it nailed with the bad tire.
you can get a "sneaky pete" to set the camber and a thingy that modifies the strut mount on the unibody to adjust the caster.
i used a sheaky pete (a bolt with an eccentric cam in it) to lower the positive camber on the right side. now the left is +1 degree and the right is +.1 degree. it does not pull on crowned roads. caster is within spec but the toe was really wild - as might be expected, when you install new a-arms and ball joints.
problem i keep having is buying parts that are not good. i could buy toyota parts... i'm in the poorhouse, as it is! lol the right cv axle was making the shimmy. gawd, what an awful job. change that sob just once and you'll know what it's really like to own a piece of exemplary japanese... "engineering"
then the tire and now it rides as it should. finally. after an entire year!
I dont know if you found what was vibrating your car around 55mph but did you check your links? I had a dis-attached sway link causing vibration in the front around 55-60mph yesterday. Slapped on a new one and no more shaking. Some times its those simple parts we overlook as I also tried rotating the tires and checking everything but those links.
links and bushings 4 the sway bar are new - they were making noise but no discernible vibrations. car drives so well it's lulling me to sleep on the interstate now - just like floatin' on a big ol' cloud...
I myself have a vibration in the steering wheel when I drive on rough road surfaces at city speeds(20-45). I know its not the wheels or tires. It could be the inner tie rod ends which I'm replacing tomorrow along with a rack mount bushing. It rarely happens so it doesn't bother me at all.
