had a bummer with the check engine light, since day one. throws a cat converter code, every couple days - even with all new o2 sensors and a new cat....

four days ago the battery in my mazda quit. had trouble believing it - batteries resign in January...

so i bought a new battery (24F fits and works just fine) for the avvy and did a hand-me-down to the mazda.

now the problem with the check engine light has gone away. other battery is 18 months old and works perfectly...

I've read somewhere about newer aftermarket convertors not having the same materials in them as the original convertor from toyota and because of that, it throws the sensors off and kicks a CEL.

I know i put two aftermarket convertors in my 96 AVY and she still threw a code. I ended up just dealing with it. At least the exhaust putter went away.

yeah - you read that in a post from the last guy you got down on... and i assume you banned him from here. i forget his nic - digital something or other. he gave a lot more than he got, in here, and you served noone but yourself by removing him.

i'm going to the person that owns this site. i'll ask him to look at your posts and those of your buddy with the muskrat. it's obvious that your status is being used to boost your ego and for the good of this forum MOST CERTAINLY NOT
